Founding Mobile Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Engineer to join us as an early hire and foundational member of our team. As our Founding Mobile Engineer, you’ll work closely with the CEO and product leadership to take our app to the next level, building features that empower parents to raise healthier kids and manage chronic conditions. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling our mobile app, ensuring it delivers a seamless, intuitive, and engaging user experience.

Challenges like eczema, asthma, childhood obesity, ADHD, and autism impact millions of families today, but the tools to help parents address these issues holistically are fragmented, outdated, and often inaccessible. Our platform provides a seamless, data-driven experience that allows parents to track nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and other lifestyle factors while offering actionable insights to improve their children’s well-being. We’re early in our journey, with a live product helping families today, and now we’re looking for a technical leader to scale our app and create a world-class user experience. • Design, develop, and maintain our mobile app (iOS required; Android experience a bonus), focusing on performance, usability, and scalability.

• Work closely with the founding team to define and prioritize features, ensuring alignment with our mission and user needs.

• Build efficient, intuitive interfaces and ensure smooth communication with our Firebase backend infrastructure.

• Lead the development of the app’s frontend architecture, ensuring flexibility for future iterations and modules.

• Bonus: Assist with backend improvements to ensure the app’s infrastructure scales alongside user growth.

• Continuously explore and implement the latest in mobile technology and development best practices to ensure our app remains innovative and competitive.

• As one of the first engineers, help establish technical standards, workflows, and a collaborative, mission-driven team culture.

• Extensive experience building mobile apps, with a strong focus on iOS development (Swift/SwiftUI preferred). Android development experience is a bonus.

• Proficient in using Firebase for backend services, including database, authentication, and cloud functions.

• Experience building and scaling apps in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

• Deep empathy for users and a commitment to crafting experiences that are both functional and delightful.

• Ability to take ownership of features and projects from concept to deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Excited to contribute to a product that transforms the lives of children and families.

• Expertise in app analytics tools and implementing tracking for metrics like DAU and user engagement
